2022 – UofA Band Day – All Information

*****This page will be updating as information becomes available*** Please check back if you have additional questions.

Note from Chris Durnan, Communications Chair – I have compiled as much information as I can gather to make the day easier for our attending parents and students. This may be a long post, but a lot of information to assist you in getting tickets, having cash, the schedule, the Copper Thunder schedule and parking. It can be quite busy so preparation makes the day less stressful.

Also, please remember competition etiquette is during performances there is NO walking around the stands. The staff will usually block off stairs until the performance is over. There is a schedule link below. I would try seating yourself at least 30 minutes prior to the performance you wish to see if possible. This will give you time to get settled and make sure you have the best seat and help you to not be frustrated with the staff at the event. The performances face East. The goal is a distraction-free performance for all competitors and bands. Also, talking during the performances is frowned upon. It is the one time a parent/spectator can hear and see the performance of their musician in the stadium without a football game or other spectators talking which has phenomenal sound. We appreciate your respectfulness and kindness to others as we all represent the Copper Thunder and Cienega in our attendance. Marching Band Competitions do run on time or there are points deducted when a band is late.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers who continue to give their time and their support for all the student musicians.

-Chris Durnan

***Please remember that tickets at the door are cash. Concessions inside are cashless. ***

There are other options as well, but the parking garage is easy to get to and mostly out of the congested area of trucks, trailers and students.
