Director’s Update: Aug. 25-29, 2025

Thanks again to all parents that came to help with build day and keep kids hydrated and healthy during this past weekend’s Saturday rehearsal! Your support means the world to us.

It is officially GAME WEEK at Cienega! That means it is your first opportunity to see the CTMB live at half-time this Friday! Here’s a look at the week ahead for the marching band:

Monday- 0 hour rehearsal; 5:30-9 pm rehearsal (Guard & Perc. start at 5:30 inside, full band at 6 pm)

Tuesday- 0 hour rehearsal; open band room for practice after school until 5 pm.

Wednesday- 0 hour (music rehearsal only)

Thursday- 0 hour; sectionals (4-6 pm)

Friday- GAME DAY!

• Call time: 5:15 pm
• Warm-up: 5:45 pm
• March to stadium: 6:15 pm
• National Anthem: 6:45 pm
• Kick-off: 7:00 pm
• Half-time performance: apx. 8 pm
• Post-game dismissal: apx. 10:00 pm

Game Day Reminders:

• Students must be in the correct attire under their uniform: Show shirt (distributed this week), black gym shorts (white for drum majors), and tall, black socks (white for drum majors).
• Games are graded, required performances. Students are required to be present for, and perform for, the entire game.
• Eating in uniform is not allowed. Most students use the break between school dismissal and call time to go get or eat a pre-game meal. Please do not try to bring concessions food to your performer during the game. The uniform committee of the boosters will go over any and all exceptions to the food in uniform rule prior to the game this week.
• Students will remain in the band room until their ride has arrived for pick-up. Traffic is heavy after games. Please to leave earlier than you anticipate to pick your child up.
