Director’s Update: Post-Season Reminders

Good Morning from Denver!

I’ll be out of the office until next Tuesday as I am traveling to Bands of America Grand National Finals in Indianapolis, but I wanted to go ahead and answer some FAQ/get some reminders out to everyone:

First, a huge thank you to everyone that made this past marching season possible and as successful as it was! Staying in the top 5 three years in a row, on top of moving up divisions each year, AND coming home with another silver medal is an accomplishment we should all be proud of and one that would not have been possible without the dedication of each parent, student, volunteer, and staff member. I am beyond proud of the direction this program is taking and the hard work the band has put in to get it here. This is just the beginning though… we won’t stop here.

Arizona Cardinals Game: December 21, 2025

• After student and staff tickets, we have about 70 tickets left available for friends/family purchase. You can do that directly through myself or Mr. Koenig as a reimbursement for paying the cost of tickets up front. We’ll sale them on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are $53/person and checks should be made out to Cienega Instrumental Music Club. Please ensure your child returns a receipt to you if you send the money through them.
• If you don’t know if your child signed up to attend, we’ll make that list available next Tuesday when I get back to the office.

Knott’s Berry Farm Trip: April 10-11, 2026

• Registration is due on November 20, 2025
• I am working on getting this extended for those of us that were buried in marching band the past seven weeks and may have forgotten/need more time, but there are no guarantees as of now.
• Once we have a list of how many students are attending, I’ll send out a call for parent chaperones. We’ll utilize a first-apply, first-selected system.
• Chaperone Note: all wanting to be considered for chaperone positions must be a parent or legal guardian of a student attending the trip. Cousins, friends, family friends, dogs, etc. will not be considered for chaperone spots.

Next Performance: CHS Fine Arts Showcase!

• Marching band kicks things off at 5:30 pm followed by the art gallery opening
• Concert starts at 6 pm sharp!
