Director’s Update: September 2-6, 2025
I hope everyone is enjoying their three-day weekend. As we settle back in for the push to fall break, here are some important dates and a look at this week’s marching band schedule:
Important Dates:
Fall Instrumental Program Concert (all ensembles)- Tuesday, October 14, 2025 @ 6:30 pm
Middle School Band Night- Sept. 5, 2025 (parent volunteers needed)
Last Saturday Camp- Sept. 6, 2025 (guest clinician: Brandon Olander)
Away Game @ Ironwood Ridge- Sept. 12, 2025 (pending bus availability)
Homecoming Football game- Sept. 19, 2025
First competitive show (Casa Grande HS)- Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025
Fall Break: Sept. 22-Oct. 3, 2025
Marching Band Rehearsal/Performance Schedule for the Week:
- Tuesday- 0 hour rehearsal
- Wednesday- 0 hour rehearsal
- Thursday- 0 hour rehearsal; Full Band Rehearsal: 4-6 pm
- Friday- Middle School Band Night vs. Desert Edge HS
- Call time: 4:00 pm
- Dinner w/ Middle Schoolers: 4:15 pm
- Mass Rehearsal Begins: 5:15 pm
- High School members change into uniform during this time
- Line up to march into stadium- 6:15 pm
- National Anthem- 6:50 pm
- Kick off- 7:00 pm
- Apx. time for half time performance- 8:00 pm
- Middle School students dismissed after half-time
- Saturday- Camp Date (8 am-Noon)
- Guest clinician, 3x DCI World Champion: Brandon Olander (Blue Devils) will be with us to provide show feedback and percussion-specific help as we prepare for the competitive season.
