Director’s Updates: April Edition

Dear Instrumental Music Program Families,

Please see the following information regarding upcoming meetings, trips, and performances during April and beyond. Please note two important items first:

1. We are going to transition away from posting itineraries for specific trips publicly on the program website. Instead, you will receive itineraries for trips your child is going on (rather than each and every itinerary) to your email directly. We hope this minimizes confusion moving forward.
2. There will be an update posted to the website specifically for the 2026 marching band season calendar later this week, after AzMBA and other event registrations are complete.

Important April Dates

• Tuesday, April 14: 2026 Marching Band Parent/Information Meeting (lots of new information and changes to discuss; please attend!)
• Wednesday, April 15: Eastern Arizona College Large Group Performance Assessment (concert band & orchestra)
• April 16-18: Bailey out of town for Arizona All-State Band
• Monday, April 20: Guitar, Concert Band, & Orchestra Concert (CHS, 6:30 pm)
• Wednesday, April 22: Navy Blues Jazz @ ABODA State Jazz Assessment
• Monday, April 27: Symphonic Band & Jazz Concert (VTOTA, 6:30 pm)
• Thursday, April 30: Symphonic Band @ ABODA State Assessment
• Friday, May 1: Annual Cienega IMP Banquet & Awards Ceremony (Student Union, 6:00 pm)
• Saturday, May 16: Graduation @ Kino Park (all 9-11th graders perform)
