Football season is here! As things start ramping up we need lots of volunteers to help things run smoothly. If everyone helps with snow cones at least once this season, we’ll have all the shifts covered quickly, so please take a look at the sign ups and see where you can pitch in. And remember, those who volunteer get into the games for free! Just come grab your volunteer badge from the uniform room.

Additionally, with the upcoming competitions we need snack donations! Our snack shelves in the cage are looking pretty bare for this time of the season, and we really need to restock. The students are always hungry after a competition and we feed them on the bus on the way home. Additionally, as we travel to Flagstaff for BOA we will be feeding them a lot and 90 kids go through a lot of snacks over the course of 2 days, so please pick up an extra package of whatever your kid and their friends would like when you are at Fry’s or Costco. You can sign up here, or just send something in.
Competition season starts this month, as well! Our first competition is the evaluation show at Casa Grande. This show is unique as there are no scores given. Instead the students perform their show, then hear feedback and tips from judges, then perform again while implementing the feedback. If you would like to volunteer to help out, please sign up here. Note that we will have enough equipment volunteers when the main equipment sign up is full, but knowing that there are often other parents that want to help with equipment beyond the allotment of wristbands given to us by AzMBA, we allow a few additional sign ups with the understanding that they may need to purchase their own entrance ticket. However, at BOA and Championships there are strict limits on numbers of equipment parents, so only those assigned will be permitted on the field at those competitions so we don’t get docked points.
For BOA we already have chaperones assigned and most of the equipment assignments covered. If more needs are identified, we’ll share on the WhatsApp group.
