Nov 8th Updates. State Band Competition & Senior Night Updates

“Our concert ensembles also have been hard at work. On Mon., 10/18 we held the first part of our Fall instrumental music showcase featuring the 2nd Period Symphonic Band and 4th Period Orchestra. The second part of the showcase featuring the 1st Period Concert Band and 3rd Period Jazz Band is a week from today (Mon., 11/15)! These students have been hard at work perfecting some great repertoire and will finalize their performance readiness at our dress rehearsal this Wed., 11/10 from 4-5:30pm. We look forward to your continued support of these students either in-person or via the live stream. “”Competition-wise, our Orchestra continued their tradition of participating in the annual ABODA Fall Orchestra Festival at Tucson HS on Fri., 10/22 and received Excellent ratings across the board. This group of students worked really hard and enjoyed a great performance along with critique that will serve us well moving forward. Our Symphonic Band will participate in the ABODA Fall Band Festival at Chandler-Gilbert Community College for the first time in many years on Sat., 12/4. How exciting!!”

Senior Night Updates for 2021
“There is officially no football game this Fri., (11/12), so senior night has been postponed to next week. We’re still waiting to see if we’ll host or travel for the first playoff game. If we host, the senior night will be done next Friday (11/19). If we are playing a road game, it’ll be done on Thursday (11/18).” – Mr. Knox
